Description

Otto Schade

Otto Schade, a Chilean artist, leads us into this ethereal world that varies between surrealism and abstraction. He was born on 30 October 1971 and is also known under the name Osch. Otto Schade began his journey as a prominent artist with a flourishing career as an architect and city sculptor. This resulted in a passion for painting, in which he has participated since 1996. This enthusiasm for art itself has led to numerous solo exhibitions all over the world. His exhibitions have taken place in Chile, Germany, the United States, England, Japan, the Netherlands, Russia and Paris.

Otto Schade’s paintings consist of two main types: those that refer to the surreal and those that are abstract in nature. In painting, his favorite materials are canvas, paper, boards, and walls. He has also experimented with collages and graffiti. These are so perfectly clean, detailed and well defined because he has worked extensively with colours, shades and lines. It is this complex line that brings to life the specific image represented in his work. Whether it’s a simple figure to iconic images like Andy Warhol’s Campbell’s soup can. Otto Schade uses both light and dark color palettes to highlight his picture. Otto Schade’s approach to more personal and metaphorical figures is characterized by sharp, ironic accents.

It is obvious that Otto Schade is fascinated by the surreal and the freedom of abstract painting. While he often uses sound techniques such as canvas and oil painting, Otto Schade is as brave as his dreams suggest and leaves the path of the expected. He uses other artistic methods to his advantage, such as unique collages and modern stencils and illustrations. In the end, his passion becomes our own as he takes us into a world in which dreams are really made.
