Banksy is probably the most famous steetart and guerrilla artist in the world.
His works polarize the cultural scene and have triggered a new era of street art. As a political activist, he remains the focus of many discussions, and also as a filmmaker he has made a name for himself – especially with “Exit Through the Gift Shop”. The documentary film has won a lot of awards and was nominated for an Oscar.
Despite all this success, Banksy’s identity remains a mystery. Surrounded by wild speculation about his person, the artist leads fans down all kinds of all the wrong paths. Observers have noted that his style is similar to Blek le Rat. Banksy himself says that he was inspired by “3-D,” a graffiti artist who later became a founding member of Massive Attack and, like Banksy, comes from the Bristol art scene.
Banksy broke auction records and always manages to surprise the whole world with his actions.

It was placed in the British Museum in 2005, accompanied by an authentic-looking information label, and was on display for three days before someone noticed something was wrong.
The back of the original replica contains a copy of the text that was originally displayed along with Banksy's wall art and the only original piece on display at the museum.
