Mr. Brainwash’s real name is Thierry Guetta and he currently resides in San Francisco. For well over a decade, Mr. Brainwash has been pushing the boundaries of contemporary art. The orchestrated collision of Street- and Pop-art is his balancing act.
The turning point for Mr. Brainwash was his groundbreaking footage from the acclaimed documentary “Exit Through the Gift Shop”. This Academy Award nominated film shows the evolution of the street art movement with Mr. Brainwash bringing art to the masses alongside other well-known names, such as Banksy.
Mr. Brainwash has shaken the art world with his innovative and fearless style. He uses elements from Pop Art’s past and the raw ingredients of his street art beginnings to create larger than life exhibitions and collaborations. Mr. Brainwash’s imaginative designs for gallery-shows and art exhibitions around the world have attracted the attention of both critics and celebrities.
Through his solo exhibitions worldwide and his annual participation in Art Basel, Mr. Brainwash creates opportunities to engage the public in the world of art.
