Brian M. Viveros’s paintings make use of the female form. The focus here is on rebellious women who radiate strength and beauty. Brian M. Viveros associates his protagonists with symbols of war and death.
With cigarettes in the corner of their mouths and armor on their bodies, they are ready for any battle. At the same time, these figures radiate an unwavering determination. The artist manages, like no other, to give their eyes an incredible depth. A recurring motif is the “Dia de los Muertos”. Typical symbols of the Mexican holiday decorate Viveros’s works and let strong women look in the eye of death.

The American artist became known primarily through the group exhibition “The Art of Porn”, which took place in Switzerland in 1997, in collaboration with the legendary HR Giger, among others. This was followed by numerous other exhibitions throughout Europe and North America.

Viveros is a technical perfectionist and vivifies his paintings with a wide variety of methods. He uses acrylic, oil, ink and airbrush painting.
